Our Night Away

This past weekend Nate and I had the chance to go on a "Babymoon" before Baby #2 makes its appearance! It was so wonderful to be able to get away.Sunday afternoon, after family naps, we loaded Natalie up, dropped her off at Grammi and Gramps' house and headed out to White Rock. We arrived to a beautiful 5star Bed & Breakfast and incredibly beautiful weather. The B&B wasn't on the main strip, but was 1 street up and had great views without the noise. The view from our room.Which we viewed from:

The "room" was quite spacious with a sitting area, as well as a large bedroom.

After settling in a bit, we headed down to the Strip for a great dinner on the rooftop patio of the Boathouse. And then a wonderful walk along the Strip and Pier.

Monday morning we woke up to another beautiful day (the clouds broke around 8:45am and we had clear skies the rest of the day!) We enjoyed a delicious 3 course breakfast, of which Nate had to finish...it was too big! Then headed down to the beach for a nice, long walk on the beach. I absolutely love the beach, whether the ocean or a lake. It is so relaxing and rejuvinating for me!
We finished off our time shopping at the outlet mall in White Rock. It was a short, but so needed time away together!

On a baby note, we had our second ultrasound last Friday (my placenta was sitting low at my 18 week ultrasound) and everything looks great! My placenta has moved up to where it should be and baby is measuring right on schedule. We got some cute pictures of Baby's face...with chubby cheeks and everything (at least it looks like it). But unfortunately we don't have a scanner at the moment, so I am not able to post the pics.

The B & B looks like it was amazing! What a view!! Its so nice that you were able to get away like that before things get even busier with Baby #2.
And GREAT to hear that all is well with the placenta! I know how relieving it is to hear that kind of news.
