It was wonderful to have a long weekend where the only work my husband did was the 4 hours we were at church on Sunday! The rest of the weekend was ours...no phone calls or emails regarding work! :)
And it was relaxing! This past weekend, we figured out, was the only weekend until July 19 that one of us doesn't have something up or is gone! And so it was dedicated to our family! That and purchasing things for Natalie's new "big girl" room! We have decided to move Natalie into a big bed before this next little one arrives so she doesn't feel pushed out or any resentment to the baby for taking "her" space. And so, Friday we ventured out to IKEA to make some purchases. We didn't find a bed like we were looking for, but did find some great bedding and accessories, including a little table and chairs (which Natalie found by accident the other day and fell in love with!)
Saturday we did a bit more shopping for the kids rooms and hung out around our place, enjoying the beautiful weather!
Sunday we went to church and then headed to my parents for a BBQ evening. My mom had a treat for dessert of Popsicles. It was quite humorous to watch the difference between Ben and Natalie. Ben treasured every bite of his and took his time. Natalie on the other hand couldn't chew it fast enough and finished before EVERYone else!
Monday we again ventured out to Vancouver, though this time it was not for shopping. We headed down to the harbor and loaded down my Uncle's company's yacht for great family day of cruishing around. It was to celebrate a belated Mother's Day, my Uncle's birthday and my grandparents anniversary. The weather wasn't the greatest, but still we had a wonderful time playing games, eating food and hanging out as a family.
Here are some pics from our trip. Hope you all had a wonderful long weekend as well!

What a fun way to spend a long weekend! The yacht looks beautiful!! Glad you had so much fun.
Craig's List is also a wonderful place to check for almost new things for kids. That and garage sales . . . for what it's worth.
